Zachariah is a Columbus, Ohio native, father of three, and the founder of Sahara Global Security, LLC. Zachariah holds a Bachelors of Arts in Arabic from The Ohio State University. Zachariah is a fluent Arabic linguist and a subject matter expert on Middle Eastern affairs. Zachariah has served in the United States Army Reserves since 2005,
Zachariah’s professional experience includes numerous cleared government contractor assignments, including two DoD deployments to Iraq, and one to Kuwait. Zachariah supported the D-ISIS mission (Operation Inherent Resolve). Zachariah integrated with Army Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Naval Special Warfare (NSW) teams in austere conditions, and provided linguistic and analytical support to HUMINT, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), Counter Intelligence (CI), and Open Source (OSINT) operations. On his second deployment to Iraq, Zachariah served as a Strategic Debriefer supporting CJTF-OIR. Zachariah successfully planned and executed dozens of sensitive intelligence operations, resulting in over 100+ intelligence reports.
Zachariah also worked as a contractor providing cleared linguist solutions for national-strategic level clients. Zachariah also worked as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) where he produced Finish Intelligence (FINTEL) for the Intelligence Community (IC), at large. Most recently, Zachariah was stationed at Caserma Ederle in Vicenza, Italy where he supported Army operations as an NCOIC.
Zachariah’s time spent in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), including Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraqi Kurdistan, and Morocco, has afforded him the ability to build a wide-reaching network of trusted security and intelligence professionals.
Zachariah started Sahara Global Security in July 2021 to meet an increasing demand for private security and investigations. Zachariah’s approach to security operations and investigations has been through the eyes of an intelligence officer. He has continued to run the company as a never-ending intelligence operation which is what has made Sahara Global Security truly unique in the private security industry. He has taken his experiences in the military and the IC and appropriated them for the purposes of being “More Than Just Security”.
Chris B. is a highly accomplished Intelligence and Security professional and US Army Combat Veteran with 30 years of service to the Department of Defense as an Intelligence Officer and Defense Contractor. Chris served as an Intelligence Officer and Counterintelligence Agent in the U.S. Army posted overseas in Africa, Europe, Asia, South America, and the Middle-East. His overseas assignments included combat and contingency operations in areas such as Iraq (two tours), Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Mali, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Colombia where Chris led Combat Advisor Teams and Intelligence Support to Special Operations Teams.
Chris served with distinguished units such as the Joint Special Operations Command, Special Operations Command-South, Special Operations Command-Africa, the 7th Special Forces Group, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Infantry Divisions, and the 25th Infantry Division during Operation Noble Eagle, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Chris even served internationally as the Senior US Military Observer to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Chris earned a Masters Degree in Strategic Intelligence, all while mastering every aspect of tactical battlefield intelligence, Counterintelligence investigations, Human Intelligence operations, and physical and personnel security.
In 2019, Chris returned to Ohio and continued his service as a Defense Contractor working for customers at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center and at the National Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Chris led in this capacity as a Contractor Site Lead overseeing teams of exquisitely skilled engineers and scientists conducting foreign behavioral influences analysis, ISR and communications satellite analysis, and foreign satellite modeling and signatures analysis. He managed contractor business development efforts for muti-million dollar contracts, oversaw daily execution of program tasks, and conducted customer outreach to US Federal Government Contracting Officers and Government Program Managers.
In 2024, Chris B. exited the government sector and formed his own private sector consulting firm, Tradecraft Security Consultancy, and began working with Sahara Global Security as the Director of Investigations.
Salima is a Moroccan-American businesswoman and mother of three. Her background is in hospitality services and management, and airport security operations. She works in tandem with Zachariah on all business related matters. She is in charge of all social media content and updates.
Salima has been vital to developing the Sahara Global Network which covers North Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Her ability to identify, and partner with, individuals, companies, and non-profits has contributed to Sahara Global’s positive reputation across the world. Salima has made connections with professionals operating not just in the security, investigations, and intelligence spaces, but also with partners who work in allied industries.
Salima is fluent in Arabic and French. Her company, Sahara Global Security Maroc is an affiliate company based in Fes, Morocco. Salima also owns Sahara Global Africa, a US based company.
Collin is an action-oriented business development
professional with a proven track record of success in achieving extraordinary results. Collin is a combat veteran with 10 deployments in support of the Global War On Terror (GWOT). Collin served as a reconnaissance Team Leader, U.S. Army, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, before transition to the Regimental Special Troops Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.
Collin’s background in US Special Operations is exceptional and expansive. He recruited, trained, and managed diverse, dynamic teams with numerous high-profile deliverables and missions. As a team leader, Collin was responsible for planning and executing training for an eight member Airborne Ranger Reconnaissance Team, capable of deploying worldwide within 18 hours to conduct reconnaissance and special military operations. He planned, supervised, and implemented over 100 sensitive military operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) resulting in the capture of 150 High Level Persons of Interest and 100 Terabytes worth of sensitive data. He also served as human intelligence analyst in 25 combat operations, providing critical information to superiors and policy makers. Collin is a subject matter expert in intelligence collection, analysis, and anti-terrorism activities. He has managed specialized equipment valued at more than $5M, and holds an Active Top-Secret clearance.
Currently, Collin serves as the senior advisor to the President of the Sahara Global Security, and has contributed to the hyper growth and business development of the Sahara Global enterprise. Collin has intermittently had to take over senior leadership responsibilities for Sahara Global Security when the owner was called to Active Duty military service. Additionally, Sahara Global Security has relied on Collin’s technical and tactical proficiency for all training and tactics development initiatives.
Emily is the Director of Human Resources at Sahara Global Security, where she has been an integral member of the leadership team. Prior to joining the Sahara Global team, she earned two bachelor’s degrees in psychology and criminology from Heidelberg University. Emily also interned for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Sandusky Seneca and Wyandot counties where she advocated for the safety and well-being of at-risk children.
Since joining the Sahara Global team, Emily
has quickly become a subject matter expert on the Ohio laws and revised codes that govern the private security industry. She stood up Sahara Global Security’s human resources department, and standardized a significant amount of the company’s business administrative processes, procedures, and policies. Emily serves as the senior HR advisor and coordinates closely with the legal teams at The Anthony Michael Law Firm and Michael R. Moran Co., LLC, Attorneys at Law.
Emily is also a licensed security officer and private investigator. She has worked on multiple security assignments, to include high profile executive protection details, and completed dozens private investigations. Her expertise in compiling publicly available information, and providing social media analysis has been instrumental in successful investigations and employee vetting.
Patrick 'Pat' lives in Central Ohio and is a
father of four children. He has been married for over 30 years. Patrick has a BA in Criminal Justice from American Military University (with Honors), and a graduate certificate from the US Naval War College. He and his wife operate a ministry counseling men, women, and couples, with a special
expertise in PTSD issues with public safety and military.
Patrick retired in 2023 from the Columbus (OH) Division of Police, where he was the longest-serving detective on the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU). As part of CTU, Patrick investigated terrorism-related incidents throughout central Ohio, bomb threats, biological threats/incidents, critical infrastructure and government related crimes, and aviation-related crimes. In addition, he served on numerous Joint Hazard Assessment Teams (JHAT) at large events for the last 12 years; working with various federal agencies, bomb squads,
SWAT teams, and Haz-Mat/Civil Support Teams. He has presented nationally
at two Homeland Security conferences.
Pat is a certified Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) instructor, Crisis Intervention Team Officer, SWAT certified, and a Patrol Rifle operator. He continues to work armed security, primarily for the central Ohio Jewish community. Patrick is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve. He has served the military for over 33 years; including time in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Ohio Air National Guard, and US Army Reserve. He has worked in numerous career fields, from chemical, infantry, aviation, security forces, civil affairs, to training.
Pat has deployed to numerous locations in support of the Global War on Terror, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Qatar,
Guantanamo Bay, and various middle-eastern & African locales.
While serving as the Qualifying Agent for Sahara Global Security, Patrick has been instrumental in ensuring that the company remains compliant with all applicable Ohio laws and revised codes. Patrick has also
contributed immensely to business development and hyper growth. Patrick’s dedication to delivering quality service and a quality security product continues to make Sahara Global truly More Than Just Security.
Pats expertise in tactics, law enforcement, military, security, and investigations, has been vital to the success of Sahara Global Security.
Olivia's background includes senior account management and customer service for numerous medium sized businesses, and security staffing for large events. Olivia's experience spans all aspects of the private security sector, from the macro to the micro.
She led travel security teams, and supervised large events, in Long Island, NY
(2021 NHL Playoffs), Nashville, TN (Nissan Stadium Concert Series), and for the 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction. She relocated to Columbus, Ohio in 2021 and worked as an Assistant Account Manager to manage NFL, NHL, and NCAA security contracts in addition to other local arts and event styles within the mid-west region on national and local levels. Her daily duties included HR management in cradle to grave processes, accounts receivable,
and daily staff management.
Since joining Sahara Global Security in 2021, Olivia has supervised day-to- day operations for multiple Armed and Unarmed security contracts. She has also managed all Executive Protection assignments to include scheduling, training, pre-operational planning, and execution. Her focus on client care and customer service has been lauded by every client she has served. Her principal
duties include scheduling, training junior account managers and supervisors, 55 quality control, logistics, budgeting, billing, and compliance. She has trained, developed, and supervised seven junior account managers.
Gaelle is a human resource professional with more than 5 years of experience in the human resources field. She has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and a Master of Human Resources and Employment Law, from Arizona State University. Gaelle has worked in different industries for NGOs, and private and public sector companies; both large and small.
Gaelle values collaboration, honesty, communication and respect in the workplace. She thrives on helping teams succeed and has a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive culture. Gaelle speaks French, Spanish and Creole. She is committed to support Sahara Global Security’s goals by providing all support and ensuring employees’ satisfaction.
